Inside the Job
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Manage external service providers to ensure the accurate preparation of international income tax returns
- Ensure the accurate recording of various tax accounts
- Present tax saving opportunities to the Director of Global Tax & Treasury
- Provide guidance to the Vice President of International Finance regarding day-to-day tax issues
- Assist with forecasting the Herman Miller Group consolidated effective tax rate
What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Five years of experience in public accounting or eight years of industry experience with a focus on US Outbound International Taxation
- Knowledge of tax concepts as applied to various international locations
- Knowledge and experience with complex tax accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues and solutions
- Ability influence business leaders and motivate others to action
- Confidence and self-driven
- Equally able to work independently and as a member of a team
