3 PCU is a 34 bed telemetry floor designated for the care of acutely ill adult patients with a variety of diagnoses. Whether it is assisting to manage chronic illnesses or help treat acute conditions, our team lives to serve the Downriver Community and strives to provide safe, reliable, care. We proudly promote professional nurse advancement and offer ACLS and NIHSS certification, as well as arrhythmia/EKG interpretation training. GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSN preferred.

• Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

  CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED :

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

• Basic Lifesaving (BLS)
