SUMMARY The Munson Healthcare Testing Coordinator will support the Munson Healthcare Project Managers by coordinating application testing events across multiple venues and service lines. Under general direction, this position formulates and defines the strategy, scope, objectives and requirements of testing complex information technology systems and prepares detailed specifications for robust software testing plans. The position is responsible for developing and documenting the internal testing components that will be used in conjunction with the various healthcare applications. This position will contribute and facilitate overall direction and integration of application testing.
They will work with both internal Munson Healthcare testing leads as well as vendor resources to complete testing efforts. They will oversee, define and monitor critical path activities and resolve issues or escalate issues to the Project Managers as needed. They will be responsible for updating and executing test cases in multiple environments, documenting test results and defects found during testing. They will work on medium to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. This position works closely with Project Managers, Informaticists, and Application Analysts to ensure a successful implementation and integration of healthcare applications at Munson Healthcare.

ORGANIZATION Under the general supervision of the Manager Information Systems but may receive advice and assistance from Director of Information Systems, or other lead positions within IS. Must maintain a working relationship with all Information Systems staff.
Must maintain a professional working relationship with staff from user departments, other regional healthcare facilities and hardware vendors. Under the supervision of the on call person whenever the Manager is unavailable. No managerial and supervisory responsibility.

• Work closely with Informaticists, Application & other Technology teams to contribute to the testing effort for all testing events (application/unit testing, regression, technical, revenue cycle, integrated testing, end user testing, upgrade testing, etc.). • Review test objectives with Munson Healthcare Business Teams to ensure test scripts will cover the functionality within the design documents. • Coordinate the development of application and integration test scripts, based on functionality design and technical requirements. • Review application and integration test scripts with Munson Healthcare Teams to ensure the test scripts meet the testing objectives. • Coordinate the execution of regression, application and integration test scripts and log, monitor and resolution of defects. • Work with Testing, Application, Vendor and other Technology teams to isolate and document software issues. • Work with Munson Healthcare Interface, Integration teams as well as vendor contacts to validate the interfaces are working properly. • Facilitate the troubleshooting, diagnosis and accurate documentation of interface problems and their probable causes and work closely with Munson Healthcare Interface team to identify, test and implement solutions. • Communicate status on testing efforts, including metrics such as test execution percent complete and defect/issues logs. • Complete work assignments in accordance with an established project timeline. Inform directors and/or manager(s) of issues requiring their direct attention. • Facilitate and attend testing kickoff, obtain status report from testing meetings throughout the duration of the project and assist in documentation as required. • Provide weekly status reports for the duration of testing. • Facilitate daily defect monitoring meetings for the duration of various testing events. • Prepare written materials for use in presentations, meetings and final project documentation (as requested). • Participate in vendor support meetings to discuss changes to the application. • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to IS teams on testing methodologies and processes in accordance with industry best standards. • Communicate and educate IS analysts on their responsibilities/accountabilities for the purpose of achieving on-time and quality deliverables. Assists them in the determination of information content and systems appropriate to meet their needs. • Continually expand knowledge and expertise in Information Technology, new technologies and developments, and project management methodologies. • Continuously maintain and improve testing strategies, toolset and support the education plan to Munson Caregivers. • Participate in project cut-over planning to provide continuity in issue/defect tracking • Work with Project Managers to execute cut-over and go-live planning efforts once testing sessions have been completed
