Job Description
In this role, the Software Platform Engineer will be the owner of one or more Platform "Capabilities" (e.g. OTA Reflash, Diagnostics, Network/Communications, etc.). This role is a combination of project management, and hands on test and integration. In the software space, you'll experience an agile, fast-paced work environment, surrounded by great mentors and teams.
Responsibilities:
* Work cross functionally to align all the software components to make up your capability, ensuring delivery milestones are met. Work with software architects, system architects, software engineers, and other embedded system engineers to define sprint goals
* Create use cases to prove out the capability at each Program Increment (PI). Execute test cases, based on use cases, to ensure your capability works on the target platform. This may be a combination of automated tests and on-target tests.
* This role is the single point of contact for a given area of the software platform, including end to end system performance responsibilities. This is a great role for someone that thrives in a challenging environment and is looking for a position with both leadership and technical responsibilities.
Additional Job Description
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree
* Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience with complex software systems such as ADAS, Infotainment, Telematics, etc.
* Knowledgeable about embedded system & software as it pertains to engineering
* High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
* Strong interpersonal skills to work independently and optimally with others
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Lead multiple priorities while maintaining a commitment to the tasks at hand
* Able to identify problems, analyze varying courses of action to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal solutions and execute contingency plans
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
* 5 years of experience in a software-related area and/or software development
* Knowledge of Adaptive AutoSAR and QNX
* Design/Development of Safety Critical Systems/Components
* Experience with SOA, SaaS, Microservices, etc.
