You have a keen eye for identifying potential issues, and you like to work as part of a team to create solutions. You're looking for a position where you can work both inside and outdoors. You're not afraid to research solutions when you don't know the answer. Training comes naturally to you, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and know-how with others.
Day in the Life
After grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you:
Head to your office, start up your computer, and review the day's schedule
Work on training items for the site (you'll be our resident expert!). This means you will:
Create and maintain a database to monitor training status and deadlines
Plan, assign, organize and/or lead training sessions
Work with compliance specialists to track training
Order any necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for our teams
Identify job site hazards, assist with pre-task planning, and formulate solutions with the team
Visit our existing field locations and ensure compliance with site specific safety requirements including:
Identification of job site hazards
Assistance with pre-task planning
Execution of post-incident reviews
Assist with implementing field safety programs for new accounts
Provide sound recommendations to keep our sites safe
Develop and implement corrective actions
What you need to apply
Bachelor's degree (BS in related field preferred, i.e. Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene)
Moderate computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office Suite)
1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing / industrial setting preferred
Comfortable with traveling 50% of the time.
Familiarity with environmental, transportation, and safety regulations
Willing to wear a respirator and/or PPE as needed
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
