Position Summary
Join the dynamic IPF Custodial team, to perform cleaning and maintenance activities that support MSU’s mission of advancing knowledge & transforming lives! This position will engage in high performing, leading edge practices, using superior cleaning methods, equipment, and standards. Be a part of a growth-oriented and diverse group of professionals that support one another in keeping MSU facilities clean, safe, and beautiful!
This position will order supplies, pick up and deliver supplies to the appropriate buildings on campus. Will perform laundry duties that consist of washing, drying, and bagging custodial laundry. Will conduct minor repairs of custodial equipment. This position will also assist with non-licensed pest control including setting and removing mouse traps and trapping and euthanizing any other nuisance animals. Perform custodial work in satellite buildings such as CATA stations, Welcome Center, Observatory, Pavilion, and OCF and may assist with the mobile carpet extraction operation. The position will also unlock and lock campus buildings when needed.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
- Possession of a valid Michigan vehicle operator''s license may be necessary.
- Possession or attainment of MSU Forklift operator''s permit prior to completion of applicable probation or trial period.
- Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required.
- Must drive University vehicle to perform job duties of this classification.

Work Hours
Sunday 6am - 10am, Monday - Thursday 5am - 2:30pm May require occasional after-hours, weekends, and holiday work.

Summary of Physical Demands
Cleaning restrooms, arenas, suites, and dressing rooms of event buildings. Emptying trash and recycling containers after events. Stocking supplies in store rooms and dispensers.
