SUMMARY The Director is responsible for successfully managing and operating a system-wide centralized patient placement center. The Director provides the leadership and resources required to meet patient needs and financial objectives to support growth for the health system. This position serves in a dyad relationship with the Medical Director for System Transfers to partner with leaders throughout Munson Healthcare to drive initiatives and services to improve patient care and operational efficiencies. The Director is responsible for ensuring exceptional and efficient operational processes for the transfer center in accordance with the Mission and Values of Munson Healthcare. This includes communicating, directing, planning, organizing, and financial monitoring to facilitate the delivery of cost-effective, high quality health care services, in an ever changing and competitive healthcare environment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS • Master's Degree preferred in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field. Degree may be substituted for relevant experience. • Demonstration of increasingly responsible management experience, preferably in a medium to large healthcare environment. • Experience leading and managing complex projects and multidisciplinary team members. • Experience working with senior and middle management and with physicians and other care givers. • Experience in project management and change management.

ORGANIZATION The Director of the Transfer Center reports to the Munson Healthcare President of Community Hospitals and System Integration and has a dyad relationship with the Medical Director for System Transfers.
Direct reporting relationship for all Transfer Center staff.
AGE OF PATIENTS SERVED No clinical contact with patients.
SPECIFIC DUTIES 1. Supports the mission, vision, values and principles of Munson Healthcare.

Provides operational oversight to areas of responsibility ensuring timely and safe patient transfers from referring institutions and other admission sources.
Collaborates with clinical and physician groups to continually refine protocols to deliver an exceptional experience.
Ensures patient safety by implementing effective policies and processes that are compliant with TJC and regulatory requirements.
Provides support and ensures that employees are performing their work consistent with organizational expectations and policies and procedures.
Communicates, facilitates, translates, establishes boundaries and celebrates with team members to achieve exceptional employee engagement.
Assesses and ensures selection, coaching, development and alignment of the team members work with achieving departmental plans based on organizational expectations. Escalates issues where necessary.
Understands finance principles, budgets, reimbursement principles, capital expenditures, productivity measures and ensures the departments meets financial expectations.
