Description:
Mercy Elite Lead AT position
Oversees the daily operation impacting AT staff. Primary duties include 75% patient treatment, coordination of educational programs for AT students/ strength an d conditioning interns; Responsible for scheduling/staffing all coverage events having flexibility for on-call backup as needed; coaching, rounding, and assistance in performance reviews for AT staff; role modeling for staff; designing and implementing strategic planning and performance improvement in conjunction with the Director of Mercy Elite.
Lead Athletic Trainer
Requirements
Manages Athletic Trainers covering schools and outreach events
Manages Budget for AT supplies/equipment supplies with assistance from program director and office coordinator
Leader of AT meetings
Manages schedule of contracted AT event and practice coverage; flexible on call availability for back-up coverage as needed.
Handle all AT student clinical placements and internships schedule and experience
Primary preceptor for AT clinical experience
Can maintain flexible schedule to provide backup for athletic training and outreach events
Communicates/Coordinates event coverage and program services for schools and organizations we share affiliation with.
Round on staff ATs with assistance from program director
Primary Instructor for staff/community CPR/BLS certification
Licensed Athletic Trainer
At least 5 years' experience working in field
At least 3 years clinical experience working full time in physical therapy rehabilitation
Active experience as leading designed sports performance training in individual, small group, and team situations
Can serve as a mentor for event coverage, injury care, clinical rehabilitation, and performance training
Manage and maintain flexible schedule to assist in provision of coverage and clinic backup
