Job Description and Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities:
Ability to understand manufacturing processes and apply capital equipment/machine tool solutions
Establish in-depth relationships with established and targeted customers
Ability to discover and create new opportunities that can utilize the Coherent System Solutions
Manage overall relationship with customers: negotiate sales contracts, maintain forecasts, CRM updates, service and accounts receivables issues.
Track and understand capital equipment/machine tool technology, products and customer trends in assigned markets
Track and understand competitive laser products and strategic trends in assigned markets
Define customer requirements working closely with product management and engineering
Identify and develop compelling business case for new product development opportunities
Analyze the relative success of products and customers in the targeted markets
Use standard documentation practices and tools to assure consistent communication to all team members
This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.
Position Deliverables:
Exceed Quarterly/Yearly Sales Quotas
Daily maintenance of SalesForce CRM
Daily maintenance of Booking Forecast
Lost Business Reports
Market overview presentation to Sales and Business Unit Managers
Education and Work Experience:
Work experience
5+ years selling capital equipment used in manufacturing
2+ years in laser or related technical field - Sound technical knowledge of Solid State, Fiber, Ultrafast and Co2 laser products and their applications
Knowledge of Automotive, Aerospace, Electronic, Energy, White Goods, Consumer Goods and General Industrial markets highly desirable
5+ years in technical sales to manufacturing companies with successful key account management
Very strong interpersonal, analytical skills and ability to network effectively at all levels of an organization
Ability to utilize SaleForce and Microsoft Office software tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
70-80% travel required
Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a broad organization
