JOB SUMMARY: The Kitchen Attendant supports the work of the Certified Nursing Assistant by carrying out basic tasks that do not require direct resident contact or experience with caregiving. These tasks are those that can be taught in a classroom setting.
Unit Support:
- Responsible for setting up tables for meals and snacks.
- Assists with serving resident’s meals and snacks; assists with kitchen clean up.
- Provides meal substitutes according to resident’s diet. Maintains and logs food and refrigerators temperatures.
Resident Support:
- May assist with feeding residents upon successful completing of required training.
- Engages with residents, holding conversations with them, ensures safety reminders are given.
. Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public.
Shift:
24-32 Hours/Week
