Description:
Now hiring maintenance technicians in a stamping department for all shifts. They will spend about 50% of their time doing troubleshooting on the equipment in terms of reactive maintenance. They will spend the other 50% of their time doing projects and/or PMs. Eventually they want this to be able to be closer to 60/40 on the PM/project based. They can expect mostly to work on presses and CNC machines. They also have some robotic welders that need fixed from time to time.
As far as reactive maintenance goes, they can expect to do a lot of troubleshooting on electrical issues. This will include: fuses, motors, sensors, etc. Can also expect to do basic mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic components. Will need to know how to wire up machines and how to pull wire and bend conduit. They need to be able to troubleshoot electrically up to the PLC but will not actually need to be able to plug in a laptop to read the ladder logic, however, if someone knows that it would be a plus.
As far as PM's or projects goes - this can be greasing a machine, changing out a bearing, replacing a fuse, etc. Some key projects they have right now is getting plant 10 up so they may be sent there from time to time to help out and this can include basic building maintenance.
