Job Description

Keweenaw Family Resource Center is seeking an organized, self-motivated, team player who is passionate about children and families for the role of Tree House Indoor Playground and Playgroup Facilitator. This position will oversee day-to-day operations of the Tree House Indoor Playground while providing high-quality customer service to families accessing KFRC's programs and services. This position is part-time.

The Tree House is an indoor playground and exploration space for children (ages 0 through 4) and their caregivers. The Tree House has a designated infant space, a climbing wall, a lily pond, a tire swing and of course a Tree House!

Additional Requirements

Ability to interact with parents and children from diverse backgrounds while creating a welcoming and supportive environment
Ability to maintain complete and accurate records and reports as required
Proficient writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Comfortable with using Facebook and other social media platforms for business
High proficiency with Google Workspace
Knowledge and ability to learn and utilize a variety of computers and related technology efficiently

Must have a current Michigan driver's license without restrictions and without a conviction related to drinking for the past 5 years
Must pass a criminal background check
Must have a negative TB test

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of child development, health and safety
Ability to develop and carry out age-appropriate child activities
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Knowledge of community resources
Administrative support experience

KFRC is a non-profit agency that provides Early Childhood programming and is resource center for families with young children. KFRC also runs the Tree House indoor playground. KFRC programs include home visiting, Welcome Baby Hospital visiting, playgroups, sensory groups, Playtime in the Park and parent education. KFRC partners with other community service providers to help families access early childhood programs.
