General Summary:
The Relationship Banker is one of the first points of contact for members who need help opening accounts, applying for loans or solving problems, or processing their financial transactions, as well as, those who simply want to learn more about financial products and services. By utilizing their product knowledge, they promote, educate, and cross-sell financial products and services to meet the current and future financial needs of our members.
What You'll Do In This Role:
- Enhance the financial lives of our members by identifying and assisting members to achieve their short and long-term financial needs and goals, through active listening and confidently recommending appropriate products and services utilizing a consultative, relationship-building sales approach.
- Document member interviews in CCF's core system accurately.
- Meet and exceed established individual and branch goals under CCF's Sales and Service Plan, including meeting volume participation requirements for the sale of ancillary products such as Credit Insurance, GAP, and MBP.
- Ensure each member receives outstanding, courteous friendly service which exceeds their expectations, while working within Performance and Standards of Excellence guidelines and living the Cornerstone Service Promises.
- Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, resolve problems.
- Utilize call lists provided to uncover unmet financial needs, offer appropriate products and services, and educate existing and new members on benefits of the products and services being recommended.
- Update and maintain accurate member account information with close attention to detail.
- Process transactions promptly, efficiently and accurately.
- Perform department related support duties, to include but not limited to quality control, scanning, thank you notes, etc.…
- Input member consumer loan applications, including calculating loan terms, rate, amount financed and payment amount with all eligible insurance coverage. Prepare applications for review by Centralized Lending staff members. Follow up to determine the ongoing status. Schedule and perform loan closings with members.
- Foster cooperation, teamwork and frequent communication between the financial services staff and Centralized Lending staff.
- Ability to work within all CU polices and operating procedures to include, but not limited to CCF's Security, BSA, OFAC, Red Flag, and Credit Policy, etc...
- Meet individual performance goals as identified monthly/annually and within your performance action plan.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, and other credit union required meetings.
- Be a Utility Player by performing other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
What You'll Bring To CCF:
- Act as a role model as demonstrated by professional business appearance, enthusiastic tone and demeanor, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- A high school education or GED. College degree preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in pro-active sales position and an additional 1+ year in a banking/credit union environment (related) opening accounts and taking loan applications.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing job responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong, professional communication skills (written, verbal, digitally and in person)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office at a proficient level.
- Ability to be bonded.
- Ability to obtain Notary designation.
