Global Business Solutions - Transformation Overview
GBS Transformation is focused on driving a disruptive shift in strategy, structure, systems, processes and technology across the GM enterprise.We strive to be global strategic business partners delivering world class transformational solutions. GBS operates as a global organization supporting various GM functions including Finance, Controllership, Purchasing, HR, Manufacturing, Sales and a growing list of new business partnerships.
Position Overview
The Transformation Program Management Office Team provides expertise and liaises between key projects, identifies challenges, opportunities and helps drive solutions. As part of the team you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide a fresh perspective and help deliver results. You will also help identify and manage integration points across processes/systems. This exposure will provide flexibility to help you manage and develop your career.
In this role you will:
* Serve as a key liaison and partner across significant End to End Business Pillars and among projects within these pillars
* Manage multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, businesses and organizational units
* Understand program workstreams/projects to be able to assist in identification and management of issues and risks
* Understand key business processes and how they interrelate
* Understand the flow of data between systems and ensure standards are adhered to
* Identify and manage key dependencies across projects
* Provide oversight over identification of integration points between systems, as well as controls
* Collaborate globally, cross-functionally, and with various levels within the organization
* Prepare and facilitate workshops with business and IT partners
* Coach project teams related to project development methodologies and processes; maintain strong oversight over adherence to these methodologies and processes
* Share best practices amongst project teams to drive improvement and consistency in reporting and tracking activities
* Execute business change management initiatives (training, communications, etc.)
* Develop web-based training courses
* Develop and maintain process documentation
* Provide team support for day to day activities
* Assist with special projects as needed
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Design and execute analyses and effectively communicate insights
* Develop and present recommendations to senior leaders

Requirements
* College degree with major in accounting or business administration or a related field
* Minimum 7+ years professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or a related field
* Highly flexible skillset to juggle a range of activities successfully and meet deadlines with quality deliverables
* Understanding of key financial drivers of the business
* Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful projects
* Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex
* Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply program management/change management concepts
* Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships
* Exceptional organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a matrix organization
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
* Ability to navigate ambiguity
* Highly motivated and able to think effectively under pressure
* Ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task within restricted time constraints
