This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment in Troy, MI.
Summary:
This individual will lead Asian OEM sales, overall strategy, and account activities for the Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Hyundai/Kia accounts. You will also lead new business pursuit coordinating an overall NA growth strategy with the global teams, while maintaining current business and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Lead Business Pursuit opportunities on all connection systems product lines with multiple Asian OEM customers
Manage the accounts of multiple Asian OEM customers, including the following responsibilities:
Managing the customer relationships and voice of the customer
Maximizing revenue and profitability of each assigned account
Achieve and exceed all booking metrics
Formulate business pursuit strategies and detailed value
Manage salesforce.com CRM data for all active account
Lead resolution of customer commercial disputes
Be recognized as the commercial lead within Aptiv organization
Lead & organize customer visits to present new product lines and development with purchasing and engineering (incl. on-site customer tech shows)
Coordinate customer tech reviews with engineering and purchasing
Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor of Science in Business or Engineering, or related field
2+ years experience in Automotive Sales
Ability to forge customer relationships with purchasing, engineering, & business teams of our customers
Persistence to achieve revenue & profit goals
Demonstrated leadership experience
Ability to compile and present business cases for leadership approval
Business acumen including negotiation skills and understanding of financial business case
Self-starter in learning the CS product portfolio and unique design features' value proposition for communication with customers
Able to interface globally with sales teams and customers
Proven ability to work autonomously, manage large & varied work load, set priorities and close
Ability to solve complex problems; understand commercial terms and contracts
Some travel required, mainly SE Michigan Area, Ohio
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree in Business Administration
Ability to read a production print and answer basic product questions without involving engineering
Enough technical competence to be able to present the CS product portfolio to customers without engineering or product line manager involvement
Ability to answer basic product performance questions (current rating, voltage range, temperature range, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
