OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo play a Technical Programming role in driving IT Services and Technology in the area of Manufacturing Production Systems.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION- Implement/Support the "Lear Production System" - our shop floor Manufacturing Software.
- Travel required for initial implementation and launch support.
- To be a first line of support for locations that are Live for open issues.
- Work with the LPS team to ensure project implementation, support, and plant timelines are met.
MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES
- Assist Sr. Programmers to help define, execute, and govern a strategic information systems application that is aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Build effective relationships with other members of the LPS team and provide knowledge, support, and expertise.
- Implement systems consistent with Lear's global, regional and product strategies.
- Provide insight and ideas to help the improvement of the LPS system and supporting applications.
- Work with other technology leaders to develop, implement and optimize the operating environment to best achieve business results.
- Assist mgt in setting realistic, effective and sound project/budget plans.
- Logical troubleshooting skills, ability to quickly determine the source of a problem and implement a fix.
- Understanding of production build processes and conveyor systems
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Understand TCP/IP, OPC, and PLC protocol communications.
- Experience with Remote Management tools
- Experience with Network diagnostic tools
- Microsoft SQL (design, query, administration)
- A strong understanding of PC Desktop (PC/Thin Client)
- Knowledge of Physical and logical Networking infrastructure and Cisco switch communications
- Experience with Virtualized Server Environments.
- Project Management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology
Preferred
- MCSE or equivalent experience with ability to configure windows servers
- Some experience in working in the Automotive IT Environment a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC functionality and capabilities.
- PC to PLC interfacing a plus
