Position Summary
Spectrum Health is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team for an employed opportunity in our growing Western Michigan region. In this role, you will work alongside one other Orthopedic Surgeon and Physician Assistant, caring for Big Rapids and the surrounding communities. Enjoy bread and butter orthopedic surgery with an opportunity to work with Division II college athletes at Ferris State University! We are looking for a surgeon with a broad base who wants to do everything from total joint replacement to sports medicine. Call responsibilities are limited to 1:3. Office space includes EPIC EMR, full support from clinical support associates and medical office support. Work in a dynamic employed model, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations. Basic Qualifications:
Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO) in Medicine
Licenses -
Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan.
Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Specific to SHMG 120 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG: ACLS required if stress test is performed or as required by specialty. 120 Days
