Directs the successful delivery of a portfolio of IT projects through direct management of project and program managers within the region who are responsible for full life cycle management of IT projects and programs. Coaches and guides resources through utilization of PMP methodology and tools to deliver projects of high quality and within budget and schedule. This role is also responsible for all relevant Project Portfolio Management functions including demand management, portfolio maintenance/reporting and financial performance.
Works with business and IT leadership to create and prioritize program strategies, business cases and relevant project budgets.
Builds, leads and mentors the regional team of project/program management professionals who execute projects across the entire project life cycle, from initiation to completion.
Communicates program and project portfolio status with IT and business leadership, including regional steering committee activities.
Proactively monitors risks across the entire project portfolio and provides an escalation path for the intervention and/or escalation of project/program issues.
Ensures project management tools and processes are in place within the region for all IT initiatives and ensures compliance.
Interacts with global leadership and PMO counterparts in other regions to coordinate global program activities within the region.

Education
Masters degree in Information Technology, MBA or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or other professional project management certification preferred
Experience
10-12 years of experience in project/program management, preferably in a large, global organization and with transformational Information Technology initiatives.
5 years supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects, global teams, project managers, application leads.
Experience working at executive committee level.
