We are looking for two accounting interns to work approximately 20 hours per week from mid-January through mid-April. The interns would primarily be preparing property tax returns for UFP and its subsidiaries but would also help out with other miscellaneous tax projects. The hours can be flexible and can work around a school schedule. No previous accounting experience is required, and this opportunity would be available to any level of accounting or finance student.
• Assists with the filing and payments of all real and personal property taxes. • Develop tax knowledge through tax research and enhancement of tools for internal customers.• Assists with sales and use tax compliance.• Assists with filings of annual reports, state and local registrations, business licenses/permits and census reporting.• Assists with various other tax projects as assigned.• Prepares correspondence and reports as required. • Performs other duties as required.
