Director, Customer Service
Job description:
* Develop the operational processes and NA organization to ensure exceeding the established growth in Service businesses.
* Develop support models for new products, including electrification and startups.
* Work with Business units to sell and deliver software subscription and maintenance.
* Provide the necessary focus on achieving established targets for Order Intake, Revenue, and Profit.
* Accountable for all CS personnel assignments in North America.
* Work together with the NA Controller to develop quarterly forecasts and operational budgets.
* Develop the NA organization to achieve the established gap closing initiatives, when required.
* Responsible for implementation and deployment of CS processes tools.
* Responsible for implementation of measuring and analysis of all NA CS metrics.
* Responsible for maintaining the installed base for all NA accounts.
* Manages and promotes overall AVL brand in North America.
* Responsible for creating/maintaining business planning, forecasting and financial plans.
* Other tasks as assigned
Profile description:
* Communication
* Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
* Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters and/or to conduct routine oral communication
* Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information
* Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; requires ability to hear and speak effectively on phone
* Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, loudly, and quickly
* Ability to make informal presentations, inside and/or outside the organization. Speaking before groups
* Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc., and/or to make presentations outside the immediate work area
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
* 10+ years’ experience in related field.
* 5+ years’ supervisory of personnel experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A strategic focus on customer satisfaction.
* Proven leadership skills.
* Self-motivated to resolve conflicts and identify solutions.
* Familiar with business development and accounting tools to create forecasts and define/control ongoing business development activities.
* Must have run a cost and profit center with proven results.
