Description
The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, implement and
finalize projects according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping
the project within budget. Defines the project's objectives, create schedules
and oversee quality control throughout the entire project. Delivers project
according to plan, obtaining appropriate resources, managing a team and
third-party contractors and/or consultants. The Project Manager will identify,
assess and minimize project risks until successful project completion. The
Project Manager will also assist the Senior Leadership Team in prioritizing
system objectives and tracking progress through LEAN methodology.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Works with appropriate customers to identify and coordinate new system developments and/or enhancements.
Works with appropriate customers to develop project scope of work documents and project plans that include an analysis of benefit, cost, work schedule and any related risks.
Assigns, schedules, trains, reviews, and monitors project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget. Mentors and provides expertise to other project team members.
Works with appropriate customers to identify the roles of project team members, project reporting structures and frequency of interaction and any training requirements that may be needed for a team member to complete a project.
Defines the responsibilities of parties involved in the project including customers, management, dept management, project team, vendors and others affected by the project.
Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of dept projects. Facilitates amicable solutions with the appropriate customer(s).
Maintains effective communication and working relationships with customers and project team members.
Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Follows LEAN process and coordinates resources to drive optimal outcomes.
Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations.
Organizes and conducts project team meetings.
Performs other related job duties as requested.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with amajor in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration,Planning or closely related field
Four (4) years offull-time experience in a similar role
