What you'll be able to do:
The Product Communications Coordinator is a key contributor to the Ford Product Communications team's efforts. You will be able to:
Assist in the development of creative vehicle reveal, launch and event plans; asset creation; workflow progress; key metrics; and storytelling.
Assist and help manage the creation, updating and presentation of vehicle reveal, launch and media event plans.
Interface with media related to vehicle reveal, drive and other news-making activities.
Assist Truck and SUV Communications teams as needed with launch and enterprise story mining.
Mine for compelling, emotional stories and scour the product community/research campus for developments that could be used for storytelling or in executive presentations.
Place enterprise stories with media.
Complete other assignments directed at developing skills to prepare for other positions on the Ford Communications team.
Travel estimated at 5-10 percent; infrequent international travel may be required.
The minimum requirements we seek:
Associate degree required
One year of experience in automotive journalism, automotive manufacturer communications, PR, digital marketing or related field.
Our preferred requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications.
Excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Proven track record of working independently and project management.
Ability to think creatively, solve problems and follow through under deadline pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across multiple, cross-functional disciplines to deliver results.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to effectively and confidently present in group settings and communicate information in verbal and written formats.
Process-oriented thinking with the ability to document and trouble-shoot process issues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel); familiar with SharePoint.
