The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the day to day supply operations of the warehouse. Ensures that supplies are received, documented, stocked and distributed to the appropriate departments in a timely and efficient manner to ensure that department specific needs are met. Improves process, identifies opportunities to automate when appropriate and maximizes use of system capabilities. Manage timeliness / efficiency of supply chain processes.
Minimum Education Required:
Associate's degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance or Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or 5 years supply chain experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field.
Minimum Experience Required:
1-3 years of supply chain related experience, including logistics and warehouse operations
Preferred Experience:
3 or more years of supply chain related experience, including logistics and warehouse operations.
Supply chain experience in a healthcare environment.
Certification / Licensure:
Current Michigan Driver's License, without restriction and excessive points
Hi-Lo driving permit / certification
Minimum Special Skills Required:
Strong organization, time management and process management skills
Working knowledge of supply chain systems and knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets and word processing
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, including ability to see the bigger picture
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and high volumes.
Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
Ability to operate a motorized mule
