Mechanical Process Engineer

• Function as a design lead to coordinate work with junior engineers and piping designers.
• Produce construction work installation packages and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Perform and assist with engineering studies, write reports, specify equipment and complete engineering calculations.
• Work with vendors and clients to select equipment to meet design requirements.
• Check team work (drawings and/or specifications) to meet SSOE quality standards.
• Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.

Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 6-8

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Exposure to chemical plants and other related industrial setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of process piping systems.
• Ability to work in a client-facing role while partnering with contractors and vendors.
• Prepare specifications and assist with purchasing of equipment.
• Work with designers to develop piping designs.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 a plus.
• Working knowledge of pipe stress analysis and experience with stress analysis and pressure vessel analysis software a plus.
