General Summary
Provides oversight of supply and purchased service expenses and performance metrics. Mentors and train Supply Chain staff on optimizing data and reporting summarization. Proactively identifies supply and purchased service cost reduction opportunities and assists with reporting of savings initiatives. Serves as a project leader on various cost reduction initiatives. Develops project estimates, resource plans, realization schedules and status reports. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to value analysis teams, and sourcing teams. Recommends and takes action to support the analysis and solutions of problems. Compares and evaluates various courses of action and make independent decisions on matters of significance within the scope of their responsibilities
Essential Duties
Facilitates the planning, coordination, and oversight of supply chain financial operations, including financial data analysis and reporting, cost and savings analysis, contract evaluations, compliance auditing and variance reporting.
Works with Purchasing, Value Analysis, Physician Leads, Consolidated Service Center, Senior Leaders, and Center of Excellence staff in presenting value based data and making recommendations on product selection, purchased services, and equipment sourcing on various initiatives.
Facilitates Implementation Reporting Worksheet (IRW) for each supply chain savings initiative to ensure success.
Analyze and interprets data from various systems to identify opportunities for contract improvement.
Develops and produces reporting tools, dashboards and scorecards to analyze facility supply and purchased service expenses by comparing actual, budget and historical data.
Acts as a mentor in reviewing analytic reports from others for accuracy. Trains staff on Supply Chain data systems. Assists where appropriate in the budget process.
Compile and analyze data from several different systems and summarize into a presentable format.
Special projects and other duties as assigned. Self-motivated and forward thinking.
Keeps current with innovation and changes in the health care industry. Actively seeks opportunities to advance professional knowledge through internal and external sources.
Standard Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related required; Masters preferred.
Minimum ten years healthcare with analytic and financial experienceand strong knowledge of healthcare supply categories.
Extensive Data Analytics and/or Supply Chain Information Systems experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with staff, directors, senior leadership, physicians/clinicians and outside vendors.
Strong math and data interpretation while understanding Healthcare business processes, technology and contract price comparisons.
Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office products with strong Excel skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in project priority.
Requires efficient use of time and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
