Located in Livonia we are looking for someone who can manage day to day shipment requirements for an assigned group of customer accounts. Processing release requirements utilizing automotive release systems such as EDI (electronic data interchange) or customer specific processes through websites/email. Follow parts from inception through end of life for parts in a program. Communication and follow up with customers are essential to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Description:
-Process customers release requirements to ship on a daily basis. Some manual entry of purchase orders required, EDI and email as well. Review and resolution of accum discrepancies.
-Follow up daily with production scheduling and shipping to ensure part availability and shipment based on customer release requirements.
-Communicate with customers daily to advise of any problems with part supply/shipments. Shortages and lack of lead time can impact part availability. Daily communication and follow ups are essential to ensure the customer is informed.
-Maintain database of customer specific information i.e. address lists, transportation terms, obsolete part inventory management.
-Cross functional department communication with sales, purchasing and quality for related issues including orders, material availability, and rejections.
Education/Experience:
Knowledge of EDIs and ASNs
Plex ERP software knowledge or similar SAP/ERP system
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of experience working in automotive customer service role
OR…
Bachelor or Associates degree with either
· 1 year working in automotive customer service
· 3 years of experience in a related customer service environment
· 3 years of experience working with OEMs or Tier 1, 2, or 3 automotive environments
