Job Summary
Pack a specified number of quality plastic parts in an appropriately sized and labeled container.
Essential Job Functions
- Visually inspect and compare production parts with sample parts to ensure defect-free products within established production standards.
- Label cartons.
- Package a specified number of defect-free parts in an appropriately sized and labeled container and place them on a skid in accordance with packaging specifications to prevent damage when shipping.
- Retrieve all documents for the production runs and return them to proper files when complete.
- Use of computers for tracking production and labor
- Complete required charting, tracking on the computer system, and documentation of production parts for traceability purposes.
- Perform secondary production operations and reworking of parts, and fill out related documents.
- Set the puller speed setting when changing jobs.
- Grind scrap plastic while the line is being set up for production.
- Assist Process Tech in X & R Charting when necessary.
- Complete water charting.
- Perform production order sign-off responsibility.
- Return the sample part and compare it with the first/last piece.
- Qualify bow and length after preliminary cooling.
- Follow lockout procedures.
- Perform length or slug capability studies.
- Perform daily caliper audit for team members – rotating responsibility monthly.
- Proper handling of recycled material.
- Proper spill clean-up procedures.
- General housekeeping.
- Assist operators in the un-jamming of machinery/ ensure lines keep running.
