Quality Gate - Anchor Coupling / Menominee, MI - (Job Number: 170005E6)
As a Quality Gate at Anchor Coupling Inc.(a wholy-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.), you will monitor, document and measure the department's quality of outgoing product with the specific department processes to improve and find suspect product. Notify the operator of the machine / process if quality problem exists and also notify Quality Technician, Department Team Lead and Section Manager.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Sort parts until the problem resolution of a quality problem has proven to be effective
Perform product inspections at the machines
Conduct quality audits on a daily basis
Complete all necessary reports on a timely basis
Maintain all records by filling daily
Assist employees with quality related problems and resolution
Work safely at ALL times and comply with safety regulations
Keep work area, equipment, storage area, etc., clean and orderly at all times
Offer suggestions relative to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety or work environment
Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager or other designated person
Assist in new product development (such as testing, ordering gauges and keeping up to date files on all testing)
Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization
Well organized, detail orientated and have good math skills
Capable of working alone or with limited supervision
Good oral communication skills
Ability to bring quality concerns to the attention of the Operators, Team Leads and Section Manager
Various measurement and blueprint reading skills
Perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problem

Shift: First (Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Wage Range: $12.95 - $15.85/hour
