We are seeking a REGISTRATION COORDINATOR II in Laurium, Michigan at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

General responsibilities include:

• Accountable for all of the "front end" functions with the patient admission process.

• Pre-registration, insurance verification, benefit eligibility and patient registration.

  PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of office standards and procedures normally acquired through a high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a business office or healthcare setting required.

• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred.

• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

• Knowledge of computer skills, chart heading machines and other information system equipment beneficial.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time restraints.

• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with providers, patients, staff and the public.

  Hours: Part time; 0.6 FTE or 24 hours per pay period. Varied shift. Part-time benefits package available.
