Job Responsibilities
Plan and Schedule all maintenance related work to include ensuring parts are on hand for work, factoring in lead time of parts, determination of contractor support if required, determination of downtime required, and working with production to determine any LO/TO's or special shutdown procedures required for work.
Maintain equipment records both digitally and hard copy.
Functionally partner with Reliability Engineering by providing as-built versus current state equipment status.
Provide Reliability Engineering support to improve and/or develop and implement new processes and/or designs.
Provide knowledge of plant operations, maintenance tech skill capability, and research vendor input regarding new products / designs and/or alternate technologies.
Partner with Maintenance and Engineering Manager to work within approved budget, develop cost saving projects, and assess department flow and efficiency to conserve resources. Judgment, innovation and planning/organizing skills are necessary competencies.
Flexibility for occasional call-ins to support the job planning of unexpected breakdowns.
Pre-package required maintenance tasks by work orders.
Schedule maintenance work based on priority and equipment availability. This requires a close working relationship with operations to ensure that work orders important to operations are addressed and when the work can be scheduled.
Responsible for ensuring timely completion of metal fabrication, machining, facility maintenance and preventative maintenance.
Participate in the management and maintenance of the parts inventory system, including researching equipment to determine spare parts required. A primary function is the determination of critical spare parts and for confirming that critical spare parts are on hand. This involves a close working relationship with the purchasing agent.
Support engineering in the improvement and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
Perform housekeeping duties to keep plant appearance at an acceptable and safe level. This includes the managing of the leak program.
Provide special project leadership as required by Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
Back up the purchasing agent in the absence of the purchasing agent,
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
5-7 years of related industrial maintenance mechanical field experience required
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
2 years of experience planning, scheduling and auditing maintenance activities.
Advanced CMMS skills required, Emaint experience preferred.
Well-rounded knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation maintenance.
Familiarity with chemical plant operations preferred.
Strong organizational, negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Planning software and Excel.
Must pass a pre-employment medical screening.
