Overview:
TheQuality Managerwill provide a supporting role to the Senior Project Manager, Construction Team and Project Management teams on a Telecom project in the Metro Detroit Area.
Major Job Elements:
Directly plans and disseminates QA/QC activities tailored to project scope.
Provides guidance and training on company Quality procedures and templates.
Teaches and demonstrates process reviews, Project Quality Plan, Quality Assurance audits, work site observations, and takes action.
Communicate QA/QC corrective actions with subcontractor & in house construction department
Generate various reports on weekly and monthly basis to support need of the project.
Introduces effective work practices with a balance of safety, quality, and productivity.
Brings subject matter expertise in process improvement tools and techniques to construction teams and supporting functions.
Qualifications:
A high level of self-direction and motivation is required.
Work experience in transmission/Telecom required.
Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project is required.
Ability to travel 100% is required.
Daily presence on project is required.
Five (5) years of relevant High Voltage experience preferred.
Four (4) year Bachelor's degree (Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, etc.) or related degree preferred.
Track record of setting goals and leading change preferred.
Professional certification in Quality and Project Management preferred.
Professional auditing credentials preferred.
