The Engine Lab TestTechnician is an integral part of the vehicle development process. Youwill use cutting edge technology to help create the vehicles of tomorrow.
BRIEF OUTLINEOF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Conduct a wide variety of non-proceduralgasoline and diesel engine dynamometer testing.
Support development, durability and performance testing in an enginedynamometer facility.
Collect, review and validate data for accuracy andcompleteness and make recommendation to engineering.
Fabricate basic fixtures.
Interface with Technologists, ProductEngineers, and Supervisors on updates/new test procedures, equipment andmethods.
Verify the calibration and maintenance oftest equipment and test systems.
The Engine Lab Test Technician will install engines on dynamometer, hook upinstrumentation, diagnose / troubleshoot problems, conduct tests, change engineparts if necessary, and remove engine and instrumentation.

Qualifications
MINIMUMEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
HighSchool Diploma
Goodinterpersonal, computer, oral and written skills.
Knowledgeof engines and powertrain.
Desired:
Workingtowards an Associates' Degree in Automotive Technology or related field orequivalent testing experience in Gasoline and Diesel engine testing.
Experience in engines/powertrain dynamometer testingor other similar testing techniques preferred.

Workhours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regularattendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regularattendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekendtesting requirements.

Must completeand pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, andbackground check.
Mustdemonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers,management and co-workers.
Must have clear, concise and accurate communicationsskills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must beappropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self orothers.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicatingin a professional manner.
Dependable personal transportation to work site isrequired.
