P.J.'S Towing is currently looking for a motivated Bookkeeper to maintain financial records, purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
Duties include: create and analyze financial reports, analyze cost expenses for each department, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate must be familiar with accounting software packages, QuickBooks. Ultimately, The Bookkeeper's responsibilities will be to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile Daily Transactions
· Day sheet completion and accuracy
· Reconcile Day sheet to financial transactions; bank accounts, insurance company EFTs, checks deposited
2. Reconcile QuickBooks
· Regularly download bank and credit card company transactions
· Reconcile Bank Register in QuickBooks (QBO) and track all checks written for each business account
· Review and file uncategorized expenses as needed
· Follow-up with external Accountant as needed
· Download and file images of all checks
3. Cash Monitoring
· Monitor bank accounts, credit card balances
· Confirm bill payments are correctly made and processed
4. Perform Accounts Payable
· File all invoices digitally and record in QBO
· Work with accounts to address open items or past due accounts
· Pay bills
· Review invoices and statements, check for accuracy and consistency
