Hours: The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday 9am-Noon.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Director of Pharmacy at Sparrow Carson Hospital, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In this role you will run P&T and work on Medication Safety, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Pain Stewardship programs. Being part of the Sparrow Health system allows this position the opportunity to work on local and system wide efforts. This position does include 5-10% staffing.
Facility: Sparrow Carson Hospital, an affiliate acute care medical/surgical hospital of Sparrow Health System, is licensed for 61 beds. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
Qualifications:
•Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
•Current MI Pharmacist license in good standing
•3 years' experience in a lead or supervisory role in a hospital pharmacy preferred
•Experience with 340B, EPIC and Pharmacy Automation (Pyxis, CII Safe)
•Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
•Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
•Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
•Effective communications skills; verbal and written
