In collaboration with the Cesar Chavez Learning Center (CCLC), supervise student employees, seek to strengthen and build upon the College’s efforts to cultivate policies, practices, and structures that ensure an inclusive, equitable, and hospitable environment for students, staff, faculty, and the community.
Serve as a consultant with Human Resources in outreach and recruiting activities for employment needs at LCC along with assisting the Chief Diversity Officer in supporting the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI) efforts including recruitment and retention of diverse faculty and staff.
Develops restorative educational practices for implementation and create opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to engage across differences. Facilitates intercultural dialogues, serves on strategic committees and planning teams that enhance Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI); responsible for the design and implementation of strategic initiatives and processes for recruiting and retaining diverse talent that reflects the students LCC serves.
Assist in the coordination of the Diversity Fellows Program; handles administration processes of Fellows; partners with hiring managers to identify needs; facilitates coordination between HR, position supervisors and Fellows to ensure a supportive onboarding experience into the program; Establish pool of recruiting sources and outreach strategies for vacancies, particularly underutilized positions/groups.
