A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
As an Accounting Assistant, you will be a key member of the accounting/finance department as you perform full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. You'll complete other accounting functions as well, including various reconciliations and general ledger account management. You will answer questions and research/resolve accounting issues while communicating with vendors, customers, and coworkers. At times, you will be asked to participate in continuous quality improvement of departmental work activities.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and on-line communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical ability
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to maintain accuracy
- Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional phone, computer, and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree in accounting plus 1 year of accounting experience OR 3 years of accounting experience with High school diploma or equivalent
WORK SCHEDULE AS AN ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
The typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with weekends free!
