Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Objective:
The Vice President of Restaurant Operations is specifically responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the company's restaurant operations, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, employee engagement and financial performance. The position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position is fully accountable for restaurant performance against performance targets and ensures continuous improvement in all areas of operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company's operations.
Maintains and upholds franchise brand standards throughout the operations.
Ensures open communication and understanding between Corporate office and field operations
Provides overall operational leadership, including strategic level planning and execution.
Maintains a positive presence throughout the restaurants, including serving as an ambassador and role model for the Company's vision and standards and accepts full accountability for restaurant performance.
Collaborates with the executive management team (CEO, CFO and VP Operations) to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the objectives of our organization.
Promotes a team building and cooperative work environment that maximizes productivity and morale
Ensures a superior hospitality and culinary experience for all restaurant guests. Consistently identifies, implements and reinforces operational standards, procedures and systems to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Partners with Human Resources to build, motivate and lead a high performing leadership and management team. Attracts, recruits selects, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, and counsels management team members to ensure the highest level of operational performance. Communicates job expectations and manages employee performance. Supports the continuous growth and development of all employees, with a keen focus on the leadership pipeline.
Recognize, motivate and celebrate individuals and teams delivering extraordinary performance
Drives the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability business goals and objectives.
Understands and ensures restaurants' performance against company operating standards and metrics, including guest satisfaction, employee engagement, revenue, cost and profitability performance, and health, safety and sanitation standards.
Partners with the Chief Financial Officer, to supports and monitor financial reporting and budgeting process. Consistently monitors and controls company assets, including all food, beverage, FFE and cash. Ensures the adequate security of all company human and financial capital and assets.
Ensures complete compliance with all aspects of financial controls
Responsible for entire store operations P&L
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
10 to 12 years of experience in Quick Serve Restaurant management, with at least 3 at an executive level
Demonstrated executive presence, a strategic mindset, and strong business acumen
The ability to travel up to 70% of the time
Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Job Environment: This is mainly a field based job, expected travel/store visits 70% to 80% with the balance of time working at a desk in a corporate environment.

Base Salary Range: $175,000 to $200,000
Other Compensation: Bonus Plan, Auto Allowance, Phantom Stock
