This position is based primarily in NW Ohio, Findlay area because of manufacturing operations.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with overall the corporate Environmental Management System (EMS) and environmental regulatory issues.
Assures that organizational environmental standards are achieved at plant levels and that plant personnel are maintaining/monitoring the programs/systems in compliance with organizational policies as well Local/State and Federal Environmental Regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in forming general policies and metrics to be followed by Corporate and plant personnel
Inspects plant facilities to detect existing or potential health hazards, environmental issues, and recommends corrective/preventive measures where indicated
Evaluates and recommends changes in methods and procedures in assigned area of responsibility
Advise Plant Managers concerning the organizations environmental objectives
Responsible for assisting plants and other MPG Facilities with environmental compliance and customer requirements relating to Midway s EMS
Assists with regulatory research/permitting and maintaining current information on regulatory requirements and manages Midway Products Electronic Management System. Assists in the input of IMDS data
Designated as the Management Representative overseeing the corporate Environmental System.
Perform other essential functions as assigned Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences required Minimum of 3 - 5 years of environmental management experience, preferably with automotive/stamping supplier
SPECIAL SKILLS
Computer Literate
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills
