Under the direction of the Building Principal, the MTSS Support personnel will work with groups of students identified as at-risk in academic settings, attendance, and discipline. The MTSS Support personnel will also work closely with the building administration and staff, as well as parents, to ensure student learning and engagement is maintained at high levels.
SPECIFIC TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administration, and district personnel to promote student achievement and a healthy and productive environment.
- Use student achievement, attendance, and discipline data to identify students who are in need of additional academic or personal support.
- Provides pre and post–test and progress monitoring data to staff and supervisor related to aforementioned data.
- Provides additional instruction for at-risk students in academics.
- Differentiates instruction and/or engagement based on assessment, attendance, and discipline data.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Tier 2 & Tier 3 supplemental instruction during the school day
- Meet with classroom teachers, students and parents to provide progress monitoring data for report cards, progress reports, and Child Studies
- Works with the school leadership team to guide and monitor the progress of each student.
- Attend scheduled meetings and parent conferences related to instruction, attendance, and discipline.
- Manages work space organization.
- Maintain time logs (PARS Reports) for grant funded programs.
- Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices.
- Attend work regularly.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job which include stooping, kneeling, crawling and lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
