DOLLAR DAZE TWO, INC. – Assistant Store Manager Position Available – All Locations.
The successful Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in developing, administering, and managing a productive store location. Assistant Store Managers should have strong leadership skills, ability to meet deadlines, experience in retail business, with solid interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Benefits available to Assistant Managers that average 36 hrs a week or 72 hrs a bi-weekly pay period:
P.T.O. is available to an Assistant Store Manager after 90 days if the average hour requirements above are met.
Vacation Time is earned after one year if the average hour requirements are met.
Summary of responsibilities:
On a Daily basis:
- Greet customers as they enter the store, assist with customer requests and promptly be available when customers are ready to check out. Suggests add-ons and ask if they found everything they needed. Keep a list of customer requests and forward to the office.
- Replenish the store inventory with new arrivals, reset inventory displays as needed, and assist in store recovery when closing.
- Insure that basic cleaning tasks are kept up such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash and recyclables to the appropriate bins, and occasional widow cleaning.
- Bring out dated products to the Store Manager's attention.
- Follow all store closing procedures to account for company assets and ensuring employee safety.
Assist in:
- Supervising store associates on all aspects of store associates responsibilities.
- Processing merchandise orders for select product areas.
- Providing new employee paper work to the office, copying and filing paperwork that needs to be filed in the Store Manager's office.
- Training new associates for greater responsibilities.
- Planning and preparing work schedules.
- Maintaining a neat, clean organized backroom, minimizing back stock.
A Successful Assistant Manager will:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies as set forward in the employee handbook and as otherwise instructed.
- Follow all pricing and signage guidelines.
- Present a professional, positive, energetic leader who others will follow.
- Protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality.
- Take on the responsibilities of the Store Manager in his/her absence.
- Be available for other duties/tasks as requested by the store manager
Other Requirements:
- Communication: Ability to read, to write, and to follow simple instructions.
- Appearance: Follows the dress code and presents a neat, clean, combed appearance to the public and other Associates.
- Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral and diagram form.
- Physical: Ability to lift 50 pounds and move 100 pounds. Able to climb ladders, reset gondolas and fixtures.
- Work Environment: to provide a safe and hostile-free work environment that fosters a productive atmosphere of cooperation.

Must have reliable transportation and be available to work nights and weekends.
