Eberspaecher North America, Inc. seeks a Tolerance Simulation Specialist in Novi, MI to research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements; assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using the following drafting tools and computer-assisted drafting equipment and software: VSA Variation Analysis, Cetol Six Sigma, Enventive, Catia, UG NX, Teamcenter, and Polyworks; research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of design and applications; investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions; develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability operation condition effects, potential new applications, and necessary modifications; instruct product development and manufacturing to ensure the proper use of dimensional management following Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards; create digital prototyping of parts and assemblies to identify critical dimensions; determine development direction of fixtures and gages; and support Advanced Project Groups with Tolerance Chain Analysis (TCA).
Qualified candidates must have a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent and 2 years of experience in the job offered or substantially similar position performing the duties listed above or alternatively, must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent and 5 years of experience in the job offered or substantially similar position performing the duties listed above.
