Position Summary
Our Architects at SSOE are the creative drivers that work closely with our project teams, project managers and clients. From proposal throughout the design process and construction to the closeout and project completion, the Architectural team is key in keeping the client’s scope insight.

At SSOE, our senior Architects are considered Subject Matter Experts and help establish process, procedures, workflow along with mentoring and guiding the staff on projects. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Local architectural team lead which is responsible for maintaining client relationships, on-site contact.
•Lead a small team of architects and engineers on designated projects.
•Oversee work production to ensure a well-coordinated and high-quality set of documents, at every level of the submission process.
•Coordinate with all disciplines and work closely with our team, maintaining productive and collaborative team relationships.
•Assist in writing and editing specifications, for projects of various sizes.
•Be an active participant in our innovative, team-centric, open and friendly work environment.
•Perform code and other design standard/regulatory requirement research.
•Assist in preparation of client presentations and proposals.
•Attend client meetings, foster strong client relationships and share project information with the project team.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 8+
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Bachelor or Masters of Architecture with registration tracked as a licensed architect required.
•Previous, five or more years of architectural design/build experience with commercial, healthcare and education projects; architectural and engineering consulting industry is preferred.
•Production and technical experience through all phases of project design and documentation process required.
•Experience using Autodesk Revit, in the creation of multi-discipline drawings. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; other graphic program experience is a plus.
•Familiarity with building materials, assemblies and a basic understanding of building systems.
•Experience with construction detailing and the ability to create a fully coordinated construction document set.
•Experience in coordinating with all engineering disciplines. Plus past experience with coordinating work, across office locations (domestic and global).
•Understanding of building code and regulatory agency compliance requirements, including knowledge of local inspections and permitting requirements; ability to find, source and locate any information needed.
