Primary Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent service to Event and Wedding customers
- Schedule appointments and meet with event customers/Brides to determine venue needs
- Create overall theme of event based on clients wishes
- Assist clients with products services selection based on client needs, over all theme and budget
- Contact affiliated preferred vendors to acquire necessary quotes for outsourced products/services
- Develop quotes based on needs assessed and budget provided
- Develop event/wedding plans, set-up and delivery schedules and strike schedules
- Contact affiliated vendors to assess and develop necessary actions for delivery, set-up and strike of events to insure smooth, efficient and professional operation as well as fiscal responsibility
- Follow-up with clients to maintain necessary time schedule requirements, i.e. Finalization consultations, payments, timely ordering of required affiliate items, (tuxedos, invitations, cake, linens/chair covers, etc.) and follow up for accuracy of receive products
- Responsible for accurate product/services pricing based on prescribed business procedures
- Create floral order based on event requirements for purchasing of fresh product a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to event date
- Work directly with design team to insure accurate and cost effective creation of all floral designs for event/wedding
- Maintain good vendor relationships through periodic communication and visitation
- Assist in development of marketing opportunities and activities designed to increase sales volume
- Resolve customer concerns in the prescribed Blumz Procedures
- Keep up to date with current even/weeding trends
- Participate in networking and trade fair activities for promoting of goods and services
- Lift and move products up to 25 pounds
- Willingness and availability to oversee installations at event venues when necessary
v Peak Business periods will require extended work days and/or work weeks (usually 12-14 hour days, 6 days per week)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two (2) years’ proven work experience working in the floral industry and prior experience with high end retail sales, interior design, floral industry or hospitality environment preferred
- Knowledge of proper floral care and handling techniques
- Visual merchandising skills preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills required
- Proficient math skills are necessary
- Competent with Microsoft Office and Excel Programs with accurate typing
- High level of enthusiasm, self-motivated and outgoing personality
- Goal/sales oriented
- Good organizational skills, detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Proven teamwork skills
- Passion to grow and learn within the organization
