MAIN PURPOSE: Operates loaders, crushing equipment, dust collectors, conveyors, moves and loads rail cars, during operation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
· Operates crushing system or loads rail cars with concentrate, practices good housekeeping
· Operates DCS system to start, stop, monitor, and adjust equipment for proper operation of the crushing equipment
· Uses shovels, hoses, slings, hand tools, to clean areas and performs minor maintenance
· Operates end loaders, forklifts, rail car mover, overhead cranes, rock breaker, and pick-up trucks
· Performs routine maintenance, including lubrication, of the crusher system and mobile equipment and operates within environmental permits
· Completes daily Pre-Task Hazard Assessments, daily inspects work area and corrects any potential hazards
o Inspects fire extinguishers, safety showers, and emergency lighting for proper operation
· Cleans working, storage and other areas as required
· May be required to train or assist in training of others
· Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Previous crusher, concentrator, mobile equipment experiences preferred
