Role Summary:The Software Architect & Integrator will provide technical leadership and expertise to support the development of Embedded Flight Management Systems Software products, with a concentration in software architecture and integration. In the role of Navigation and Guidance Engineer, you will utilize your experience / expertise to solve problems, develop, and execute objectives for yourself and others, and have the ability to affect business goals.

Perform the following analyses:
Static Stack
WCET
Data & Control Coupling
Memory Usage
Partitioning Analysis Mitigation
Perform Software Integration activities for partitions in a partitioned operating environment
Become a technical expert in the area of Platform Interfaces (I/O, BIT, Redundancy Management, Platform Software behavior and APIs)
Work in a multidisciplinary team, architect, design, develop, and update functionality for real-time Flight Management Software
Participate actively in software design and code reviews
Validate system requirements and author embedded software for Flight Management Systems
Identify, evaluate, and occasionally develop engineering tools and processes necessary to meet the projects engineering and business goals
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments, maintaining a focus on safety and certification
Conduct Problem (PR) investigation and resolution
Participate in software structural coverage resolution
Write embedded avionics software functional test cases and procedures to verify software functional requirements
Develop software verification strategies and test procedures to verify software functional requirements
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound scientific / engineering principles and practices
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Embedded Software Development

Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time
Desired Characteristics:
Familiarity with Wind River 653 RTOS
Experience performing Stack / Memory Analysis
Experience with integrating ARINC 653 partitions
Experience in embedded Military and Commercial Avionics product development
Experience with embedded software development life cycle within Aerospace or similar controlled industry
Experience with embedded software development in Flight Management Systems
Experience with software development using Ada, C and C++ languages, RTOSs, or Model Based Development in a DO-178() Avionics development environment
Experience using Configuration Management tools CVS, GIT, Rational Team Concert, Dimensions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Capable of developing and writing specifications in an engineering environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded product development
Minimum 2 years of experience in Avionics development
Development to DO-178() industry guidance
Ability to use project cost and schedule requirements as part of the overall best technical solution
Participate in a team as a team player
Experience directing and participating in requirements definition and trace, architecture planning, design implementation, documentation, testing, verification and production support efforts
Ability to provide most cost effective and technically correct solution to internal and external customers
