Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Dental Art Lab in Lansing, Michigan for a Dental Lab Technician I (Ceramics). Previous experience is not necessary; we offer paid, hands-on training!
The regular hours for this position are from 7:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
Establish and mark model midline and interproximal guidelines on anterior cases.
Mark contact areas of unprepared teeth and tissue bearing surfaces on bridges.
Contour contacts on single crowns or abutment teeth on bridges.
Grind and contour round-house cases.
Check contoured surfaces to be sure they are smooth.
Check occlusion and contour to achieve centric on anterior and posteriors.
Contour interproximal of anterior and/or posteriors using the correct steps and tools.
Locate the proper shade tab from the appropriate shade guide.
Choose the appropriate stain and glaze for the case based on the material of product.
Prepare and monitor porcelain mixture for shading..
Create a "framing effect" by using white or blue stain to brighten and enhance translucency.
Fire the crown or bridge at the correct temperature for the appropriate amount of time.
Apply glaze to the crown or bridge and remove any excess inside the abutments or the crown.
All other duties as assigned.

High level of organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Hand-piece / instruments.
Gold, Platinum, Nickel Free metal.
Porcelain/Titanium dioxide.
Sandblaster, porcelain ovens.
Sharp tools/instruments, hand piece and related tools.
Stone wheel, hot plate.
Additional related materials or equipment, as required.
Personal protective equipment, as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel and/or reach.
Fine motor skills and ability to perform repetitive motions.
Vision capabilities, including depth perception, attention to detail, and color.
