Summary:
Product Specialist keeps updated on technology and sales techniques to successfully sell Capital equipment exclusively for Pentax Medical. Pentax Medical Instruments consisting of capturing HD images by way of endoscopy and stroboscopy equipment through a full complement of rigid scopes, both sinus and trans-oral, as well as a full lineup of flexible endoscopes from pediatrics to adults to esophageal exams. The images from the components above are then stored and retained on our capture module either locally or more commonly server based for the Ear, Nose and Throat Physician as well as medical Speech Pathologists. Other supporting products deal with airflow and acoustic measurements to provide a complete solution to all clinicians managing the upper airway.
Initial product training is done by the Pentax staff and may be conducted in a group or in one-to-one sessions. The Product Specialist is also expected to supplement his/her own training through hands-on exercises, reading manuals, journal articles and textbooks. The Product Specialist should also define their own training needs, soliciting help in developing skills and knowledge from Pentax personnel, researching and selecting outside courses to augment skills.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the following sales functions:
•Field demonstration of Pentax equipment to potential customer's office or institution located within their territory.
•Disciplined use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for pipeline management, pipeline growth, entering notes and updating records frequently.
•Set-up and training of instruments at the customers facility
•Trade show representation
•Manage own territory and schedule to develop strategic plans to hit targeted sales numbers
•Hunting/Cold calling
•Determine the most appropriate course of action in response to each inquiry.
•Visit customers in their territory 90% of the time each month. The balance of the time is spent on phone sales, office work, territory management strategic planning and trade shows [when applicable).
•Ability to moving relatively heavy equipment (3-5 boxes, 30-70 pounds) and in and out of the customers facility.
•Ability to discuss and address the customers' concerns at a high level and present an image consistent with the advanced high technology product.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or clinical background
•Minimum 5 years of relevant documented experience
•Knowledge of the medical device industry and familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
•Effective and clear communication skills
