Community Living Options has been providing a range of support services to individuals with disabilities in the Kalamazoo area for more than 30 years. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in providing maintenance on our 11 specialized residential homes, 2 commercial buildings as well as several single family rental homes. Company vehicle, tools, and work phone provided by employer.
$18.04 to $20.75 hourly based on experience/non-exempt plus competitive benefit package
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine repairs to areas relevant to the efficient operation of all properties managed by the company.
- Perform preventative maintenance to areas relevant to the efficient operation of all properties managed by the company.
- Perform proper and adequate documentation procedures for all work requests.
- Ensure each assigned work order request is completed in a timely manner, requesting assistance as needed and reporting any problems and delays.
- Perform exterior property maintenance including yard work and snow removal.
- Assist team members with general maintenance and projects.
- Report building deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year previous maintenance experience
- Ability to organize and maintain maintenance tools, materials and tasks.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
- Ability to repetitively bend, twist, kneel and/or squat.
- Valid driver’s license with driving record which meets auto insurance company’s requirements.
- Ability to provide on-call services on a rotating basis.
- Ability to work independently, with individuals of diverse backgrounds and in a team setting.
