Job Title: WWTP Maintenance Worker 400
Department: Wastewater Treatment Plant

Pay Range: $19.07/hr - $23.06/hr

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and operation of Wastewater Treatment Plant and pump station equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED; College level coursework in an industrial or mechanical field of study preferred
- Two (2) years or more of experience in the operation and repair of water or wastewater plant equipment; or
- Two (2) years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance or other work that requires mechanical maintenance ability; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Commercial Driver’s License, Group B with Air brake and N (tank) endorsement including the DOT mandated medical card, preferred. Must be able to obtain a CDL B with N endorsement and DOT medical card in 90 days from date of hire.
- Selected candidate(s) are required to use a respirator in compliance with MIOSHA regulations; the selected candidate(s) must pass the Respirator Medical Certification Examination and fit test, prior to being transferred, promoted, or hired for this position. Certification and ability to pass the City of Lansing’s respirator physical and fit test must be maintained.
- Must complete and pass MDOT Drug & Alcohol Training.
- Must pass and maintain Confined Space Training and Certification.
- Must pass and maintain Powered Industrial Truck and Aerial Work Platform Training and Certifications.
- May be subject to emergency call-in and shift work as required.
