Job Details

This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of DexSys as described below

General Job Duties:

• To display an objective, fair, professional and consistent approach by following the principles of The Magna Employee’s Charter to help ensure a satisfied workplace for all employees.
• To participate in continuous improvement activities that enhance the working environment at DexSys.
• To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.
• To follow DexSys policies and display conduct expected of DexSys employees as described in the DexSys employee handbook
• To observe DexSys health and safety objectives and support Company directed health and safety directives which provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all DexSys employees.
• To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of DexSys.
• To support and following of Company policies and business objectives while performing the specific responsibilities of your job.
• Participate in the DexSys Fairness Committee.
• Assist in the maintenance of Company bulletin boards and post information on a timely basis.
• Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions within assigned department.
• Assist with maintaining lockers and combinations
• Assist in the processing and investigation of corrective actions as required.
• Cover reception duties as required.
• Back-up for other HR Generalists for vacation coverage and as needed.
• Maintain floor visibility throughout all departments
• Coordinate Human Resource projects as assigned by Human Resources Manager.

Specific Job Duties:

• Maintain payroll administration tasks in the E-time and ADP systems. (i.e. adding punches, changing punches, adding hours, adjusting schedules).
• Maintain vacation balances for salary and hourly
• Manage the administration of all new hire paperwork and ensure paperwork is completed accurately (tax withholdings, I-9’s, etc.)
• Process and track all medical leaves
• Maintain and Track Attendance
• Review and tracking of employee performance reviews
• Process and track all unemployment claims.
• Complete Employment Verifications as requested.
• Serve on Activities Committee with employee involvement functions such as Company Picnic, Christmas Party, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date information on HRIS system and HR database for all relevant data related to specialty. File HR related paperwork in employee files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Related Work Experience

• Previous experience as a HR Generalist preferred.
• Minimum five years’ work experience in automotive manufacturing desired.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
• Must have experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel software applications.

Educational Requirements

• Degree in a Human Resources field of study preferred.
• Previous training in Human Resources required.
